Calgary Flames Celebrity Poker Tournament
Imagine sitting shoulder to shoulder with your favourite Calgary Flames player! The Flames Celebrity Poker Tournament provides players with the unique opportunity of playing at the same table as one of the Calgary Flames players, coaches, alumni or local celebrities. Better yet, if you knock them out of the tournament, you get the autographed jersey that they’re wearing. Matthew Reboh, one of Maxime’s owners and gemologists, has had the opportunity to play every year. He’s even bested some of the players! This year, one of his opponents was Matthew Tkachuck, who he was sadly not able to defeat. The winner of the 2020 Flames Celebrity Poker Tournament got to take home the custom made Maxime’s championship ring, $5,000 in cash, and more!

Maxime’s has been a long-standing and proud supporter of the Calgary Flames Foundation. Since it’s launch, Maxime’s has custom made the Calgary Flames Celebrity Poker Tournament championship ring each year. Hosted at the Cowboys Casino, poker night also included a silent auction, live auction, and raffles. This unique fundraising experience was full of products and experiences that participants were excited to bid on. This year we celebrated the 15th annual Calgary Flames Celebrity Poker Tournament which raised over $380,000. This brings the total raised from this annual tournament to over $5.4 million in the past 15 years!
This poker tournament hosted by the Calgary Flames Foundation is sponsored by many local businesses and organizations. They work to improve the lives of southern Albertans through the support of health and wellness, education, and amateur and grassroots sports. We are so grateful to have the opportunity to help give back to the community that has supported Maxime’s for years. It’s been an incredible 15 years supporting the Calgary Flames Celebrity Poker Tournament and the Calgary Flames Foundation.
